The Fandyman was born out of a dream to provide a key part of all home improvement projects: reliable and honest help. So we developed a highly specialized, white-glove service that customers absolutely love.

More than a decade ago, Tammy Trylko (a native Texan) left her corporate architecture job to pursue her dream of interior design. As she built her highly successful company, Tammy Trylko Interiors, it didn’t take long to experience some of the most frustrating aspects of the business: long wait times (six weeks for a ceiling fan installation?!?), sky-high prices due to a huge demand for the services, and work that wasn’t always done up to her standards.

She knew there had to be a better experience available for her interior design clients.

Enter her husband, James.

For years James had been helping Tammy install fans and fixtures as part of her interior design business, after other contractors were unavailable, or when they offered sub-par service and pricing. When Tammy needed someone she could count on, she “hired” James.

That led to the creation of The Fandyman, a family-owned professional installation service that tackles three of the most common home improvement needs: installing ceiling fans, light fixtures, and air filters.

And as for James? Well he’s a born and bred mountain man from Colorado Springs, Colorado. And while he still loves Pikes Peak and the Denver Broncos, he’s called Texas home since 2019. Originally he built up an impressive resume in the retirement planning and investment management world, having worked with some of the biggest names in the biz. But at the end of the day, he’d tell you that he’s just a guy that loves building and fixing things — he’s “fandy.”

The husband-wife duo started The Fandyman to bring impeccable service, professionalism, and honesty to the people in their neighborhood. And now they want to bring it to you!
